If compensation bands are part of your compensation review process, they need to be set up in Lattice and have employees assigned individually or in bulk before creating a compensation cycle.
There are two locations in Lattice that allow admins to bulk upload compensation bands:
- Compensation Bands page
- Compensation Settings page
- Navigate to compensation bands using one of the following options:
- Navigate to Admin > Compensation > Compensation Bands > Create band > Upload from CSV.
- Navigate to Admin > Compensation > Settings > Compensation bands > Upload CSV.
- Download the Compensation bands CSV template and input the necessary data.

The following fields are included. Columns marked with an asterisk are required, others can be left blank if not used:
- Job function*
- Job type*
- Job level*

Compensation Band Name
- This is an optional label to uniquely identify the band. Employees will still be matched to bands based on the matching Job Function, Job Type, Job Level, and (if used) Pay Zone.

Pay zone
- This is an optional text field you can use to uniquely identify compensation bands (in combination with Job Function, Job Level, and Job Type)

Currency*
- Expected value: 3-letter currency code, for example "USD" or "GBP"
- Expected value: 3-letter currency code, for example "USD" or "GBP"

Min, Mid, and Max base pay*
- This should be the annual pay rate for Salary bands, and the hourly rate for Hourly bands.
- Mid, Mid, and Max variable pay
- Bonus target

Award type
- Must be ISO, NSO, RSU, or RSA
- Min, Mid, and Max Equity (new hire)
- Upload the CSV.
- Select Save.
Note: Base salary ranges need to be broken out for each job function.
