In Performance Reviews, questions and responses can be organized in the following ways:

Group by Question

Each question appears once, followed by responses from all reviewers. This makes it easy to compare how different reviewers answered the same question.

Question Order

Questions are displayed in this order:

  1. Self-review

  2. Direct report (upward)

  3. Manager

  4. Peer

Within each category, questions follow the order set in the template.

Anonymous Feedback

Anonymous responses appear under each question. Responses are randomized to protect identity. You can read the feedback, but reviewer names are not shown.

Best For:

  • Comparing responses across reviewers for the same question

  • Identifying patterns or recurring themes

Group by Reviewer

Each reviewer appears once, followed by all of their responses. This makes it easy to read one person’s complete feedback in context.

Reviewer Order

Reviewers are displayed in this order:

  1. Manager

  2. Direct reports (upward)

  3. Peers

  4. Self-review

Within each reviewer’s section, questions appear in the original template order.

Anonymous Feedback

Anonymous reviewer sections do not appear in this view.
To view anonymous feedback, use “Group by Question” or “All Groupings.”

In-Progress Reviews

Reviewers who have not submitted their review will still appear. Their section will display:
“No responses from this reviewer.”

Best For:

  • Reading one reviewer’s full perspective

  • Understanding overall sentiment from a specific individual

Group by Reviewer and Question (PDF Export Only)

Note: This is only available in the PDF download packet, not the in-product preview.

This view includes two sections:

  1. Responses by Reviewer

  2. Responses by Question

It provides the most complete view of the review.

Anonymous Feedback

  • In the “Responses by Reviewer” section, anonymous groups include a note directing you to the “Responses by Question” section.

  • In the “Responses by Question” section, anonymous responses appear and are randomized.

Best For:

  • Viewing both perspectives in one document

  • Getting a comprehensive summary of feedback
