Introducing your team to Lattice Updates
Below is an email that you can use to introduce your team to Lattice Updates and why they are important. You can change the information in the email to more align with your team's launch, but make sure to answer three key points in your launch email:
- What you are doing
- Why you are doing it
- Your expectations for the team
With that in mind, here is a sample email format that you can use to introduce your employees to Updates:
Hi Team,We'll soon be using Lattice to help facilitate communication between employees and their managers via its Updates tool. The Updates tool helps employees to asynchronously communicate what they are working on and how they are feeling to ensure managers are getting the insight they need on a consistent basis. All employees will be meeting with their managers within the next [TWO WEEKS] to talk about how they plan to utilize this tool within Lattice.
What to expect from Updates:
- Once an update has been submitted, managers will be tasked with reviewing update responses. Responses can be added to the next upcoming 1:1 as an agenda item for further discussion. There is also an opportunity to leave comment replies.
- [We strongly encourage you to participate in the employee sentiment to provide your manager with awareness on how they can best support you.]
- [FOR ADMIN - Determine if employee sentiment and/or Public Updates will be enabled].
- [IF MANAGER OVERRIDE IS ENABLED] Managers - you can turn on the Updates for your entire team or for individuals by navigating to the My Team > Click on Updates > Turn on Updates. You can also customize Updates for your team.
- [IF APPLICABLE - PUBLIC UPDATES] Department heads will share a monthly update detailing how the team is doing on their goals and what they will be focusing on in the next month.
