After the Admin has configured the Custom Role, specific permissions can be granted to Goals.
The custom role can include visibility and editing permissions for employee-specific groups and global permissions to create company goals and manage goal cycles!
The permissions that can be granted:
- (Employee-specific) Permission to view private Goals: This permission allows role owners to view the public and private Goals of the employee subset the Admin has set. This permission will grant role owners access to Goals reporting for the employee subset.
- (Employee-specific) Permission to edit Goals: This permission allows role owners to edit, delete, update, and create the public and private Goals, including group goals, of the employee subset the admin has set. This permission will grant role owners access to Goals reporting for the employee subset.
- (Global) Own goal program: This permission allows you to have full access, including settings, creating company or department goals, duplicate goals, and viewing public and private goals.
- (Global) Permission to create company goals or department goals: This permission will allow you to create Company Goals are visible to everyone in your Org by navigating to the "Company" tab.
- (Global) Permission to manage goal cycles: This permission will allow you to create and manage goal cycles for your entire organization.
What does this permission look like to the person with the custom role?
The custom role owner with global permissions will see an Admin page at the bottom of their discovery navigation.
The custom role owner with employees-specific permissions can also see the private goals for their group within the Goals Page.
As a reminder, these permissions only apply to the subset of employees that the Admin has selected for the role owner. The role member(s) will not have access to other employees' private information that falls outside of this subset.
