Employees can update their goals as they continue to make progress. There are three ways to add progress to Goals:
- Add progress from the Goals Explore page's context panel
- Add progress from the Goal Details page
- Add progress from the Goals Update Screen

Add progress from the Goal Explore page's context panel
Add progress from the goal's context panel without leaving the Goal Explore page.
- Navigate to Goals > Find and click on your goal to open the context panel.
- Select Update.
- Select one of the following for goal Status:
- On track
- Progressing
- Off track
- (Optional) If the goal is a measurable (dollar, number, percent) key result, you can add an Increment or Total amount towards your measurable goal under Set new amount. Learn more in Update Goal Progress: Increment vs. Total.
- Within the Update textbox, add a progress update.
- Update any supporting goals.
- Note: As a goal owner of the parent goal, you can add progress to supporting goals tied to your parent goal regardless if you are not the goal's owner. Supporting goals will automatically carry the previous status; therefore, if you do not want to update a supporting goal, select No Update.
- Select Update.
Add progress from the Goals Update Screen
Updating goals via the Goals Update Screen allows you to view all goals that need updating in one place instead of searching and clicking on separate goals.
