Admins can bulk create goals via a CSV, but in order to bulk update Goals for those needing to make updates to 50+ goals at a time admins can reach out to the Lattice Customer Care team.
Bulk update functionality is available for key result status, new amount, update type, and comments. Bulk updates for all other Goal fields are not supported.
Bulk upload
- Key Result Status: The options to be entered in this field are, on-track, progressing, or off-track. (Note: If your organization has opted to modify these labels, then the entries here must match the default values above. The values here are case-sensitive.)
- Key Result New Amount: This must be a numerical value. At this time, we do not have the ability to bulk update goals measured by yes or no binary results.
- Key Result Update Type: The options to be entered in this field are increment or total. This entry informs the update tool if the value placed in column AC is the new total or to be added to the existing total.
- Key Result Comments: This is a text field that allows for commentary to be uploaded at the same time as the bulk amounts and status.
Note: The Goals must be in an active state and the type 'Key Result'.
Bulk update process
- Navigate to Goals Explore and set filters to the parameters of the goals you wish to bulk update.
- Once you have your goal view set, select Export CSV
- Your exported CSV file will now have new columns AB, AC, AD, and AE
- Those four columns are the ones that will require information to be entered in order to do the bulk updating. As a reminder, the fields you can bulk update are: Key Result Status, Key Result New Amount, Key Result Update Type, and Key Result Comments.
- If the Key Result New Amount value is not provided, it will default to 0.
- Once the CSV is ready, please contact the Lattice Customer Care team, who will be able to bulk upload it on your behalf.
