Sync all your company's Namely employee information with Lattice
Integrating Namely with Lattice makes user management easier:
- We automatically sync the employees you select from Namely to Lattice.
- We mirror your reporting structure from your Namely org chart.
- When users are added or removed from Namely, we'll create them and deactivate them in Lattice with the click of a button.
To sync your Lattice account with Namely, you must be an admin in both Lattice and Namely.
What employee information will come over to Lattice from Namely?
If synced, Lattice will pull the following information from Namely:
- Name
- Job Title
- Start Date
- Telephone Number
- Gender
- Department
- Manager
Lattice will also allow you to import custom attributes from Namely. Supported field types in Namely are:
- Select: Multiple choice in Lattice
- Number: Number in Lattice
Some Things to Look Out for When Integrating With Namely
In Namely, you will want to make sure that all of your departments are set up within your "Company" tab in Namely.
To view this, start by navigating to "Company" in Namely and click into the "Settings" tab within your Company page. Under "Organizational Structures" on the left-hand side, click on "Groups" to view your departments.
Note: The "Department" header in Namely must exactly match the "Department" header in Lattice to successfully sync. This includes making sure the group type name is singular [i.e.'Department' (in singular) is correct while 'Departments' is incorrect.]
Getting Started
First, go to the Admin page, then click on the Integrations secondary navigation. From the Integrations page, click the "Namely" button to open the configuration window.

In the Namely configuration window, you'll need to provide Lattice with your Namely subdomain and select which types of employees you'd like to import. After you've supplied us with your information, click the "Connect" button to authorize Lattice to access your Namely data.
After clicking "Connect," you'll be redirected to Namely's site and asked to confirm the authorization. Note that you must be logged in to an admin account on Namely to complete this step.
Click the "Allow" button to proceed with the authorization. Your employee data will be automatically imported immediately after you've authorized Lattice, and when the import is complete, you'll receive an email notification with more information about the import.
This will create accounts in Lattice for everyone that fits the criteria you've selected. Once you're ready, invite them by going to Admin -> People -> Invited -> Resend All Invites. This will email the team for the first time and can also be used as a nudge to resend invites if employees are slow to accept.
Auto-syncing with Namely
Namely has the option to...
- Auto-sync your employees nightly (this will happen at 12 am PST)
- Sync manually by clicking the blue "Sync" button
Even if you chose to auto-sync nightly, you would always have the option to manually sync during the day if needed.
The Namely Import Log
If you want to confirm that your Namely integration has synced successfully, you can check in the integration log. Here's how you access your integration log:
Step 1: Navigate to your "Admin" page.
Step 2: Under "People" on the left-hand side, click on the "Import Log."
From here, you can view what synced successfully and what needs to be troubleshot. You can view what occurred within Lattice by looking at the "Description" column. There are three statuses in the import log:
The green checkmark indicates that Namely synced successfully with Lattice.

The orange exclamation point indicates that the Namely sync was successful, but not all data was pulled over.

The red "X" indicates that the Namely sync failed.

If you want to view each status in more detail, click directly into the event you would like to view.

From here, you will have more of a high-level overview of what was updated or what failed to update within your Namely sync.
Disconnecting
If you need to disconnect the Namely integration with Lattice at any time you can do so from the integrations page Admin>Settings>Integrations within Lattice.
When disconnecting you will also have the option to remove external IDs upon disconnecting. This would remove the external IDs tied to each user. If you were to integrate again, IDs would be reassigned by using the emails as the unique identifier between the two systems. If you want to disconnect the integration in order to integrate with a different external system this option is highly advised.
