Once employees are added to Lattice either manually, via a CSV import, or an integration, you can begin their onboarding process. During this process, employees can be invited to Lattice where they’ll be able to update their profile information, upload new hire documents, complete new hire tasks, and more.
To onboard a new hire:
- Navigate to Admin > Onboarding > Overview
- Find the Ready for onboarding section at the top of the page, and click Begin Onboarding for the new hire you would like to onboard.
- Select Template: Choose the relevant template for the employee you are onboarding.
- Complete admin fields: Enter the required fields for the new hire.
- Review new hire fields: This section will display the fields that the new hire will be assigned once onboarding is launched.
- Documents: Review and update the documents you need to collect from the new hire before their first day. These are pre-selected based on the onboarding template you originally chose, but you can make adjustments based on the new hire’s requirements.
- Tasks: Create and assign tasks for new hires, managers, admins, or additional employees to complete once their fields and documents are complete.
- Emails: Automatically send emails during the onboarding process to new hires, managers, admins, or additional employees to help prepare for their first day.
- Verify: Confirm your new hire’s onboarding plan. Click Edit to adjust their onboarding steps. Then click Start Onboarding. This will send an invitation from Lattice to the employee’s work email.
