Automated rule review cycles have several unique notifications not used in org chart and project based reviews.
Note: The notifications to managers and direct reports during peer selection, review writing, and sharing are the same as non-automated reviews. See review cycle email notifications to learn more.
Notifications by launch settings
When configuring an automated rule, you can choose to automatically launch each cycle it creates, or have Lattice generate a draft to be launched on a manual sequence. Notifications will differ based on these settings.
Manual: Auto-launch off
With auto-launch off, the admin who created the rule will receive a notification to Finish Setup of each cycle. The notification directs to the review cycle, where it can be launched (see Launch a Drafted Automated Review). After the finish setup notification, this review will generate the same notifications as a non-automated review.
Automatic: Auto-launch on
With auto-launch enabled, admins can write notifications and determine when they'll be sent during each cycle when the rule is created.
All super admins, whether or not they created the cycle, will receive an email notification when the rule creates a cycle that shows when it will launch. Admins who have created the rule will receive additional reminder notifications before the review proceeds through each stage on the timeline.
Rules set to automatically launch reviews will generate each cycle seven days before the scheduled launch date.
Admins receive additional reminder notifications before the review proceeds through each stage on the timeline you set in the rule. You can see examples of this reminder for peer selection, review writing, and the end of the review below.
