Admins can set up a workflow for personal data updates with tasks or actions. Common examples of this workflow are address or SSN changes. If what you’re looking for is not already included as a Lattice Workflow Template, you can create a Personal Data Update workflow from scratch.
- Navigate to Admin > Workflows > Overview.
- Select Create Workflow > Start from scratch.
- Select Personal data update.
- Enter the Workflow details.
- Enter a Name for the workflow and a Fallback assignee who will be responsible for approvals or actions that can’t be assigned.
- Define a trigger
- Choose what fields trigger this workflow when updated.

- Add any conditions that define which employees this request applies to. Use this to limit update requests by department, locations, or other attributes.

At least one action is required to save a workflow.
- Approval:Add whether a manager, manager of managers, the employee the workflow is for, other custom relationships, or a specific person should approve this workflow. If there are other workflow actions, (Tasks or Automated Email) they will start only after all approvals are received.
- Tasks:Add any tasks that need to be completed after final approval. You can also configure tasks that are triggered after another task is completed. Utilize variables by selecting Insert variables within the task description to create more personalized tasks.
- Automated Emails: Set up automatic email notifications once the workflow is triggered. Utilize variables by selecting Insert variables within the email message to create more personalized emails.

- Select to Save draft or Publish once you’ve completed setting up your action(s).
