Admins can set up a workflow to request job changes with approvals, tasks, or actions. Common examples of this workflow are promotion requests, compensation changes, or title changes. If what you’re looking for is not already included as a Lattice Workflow Template, you can create a Job Update Request workflow from scratch.
- Navigate to Admin > Workflows > Overview.
- Select Create Workflow > Start from scratch.
- Select Job update request.
- Enter the Workflow details:
- Enter a Name for the workflow and a Fallback assignee who will be responsible for approvals or actions that can’t be assigned.
- Set up the request form
- Choose what fields need to be completed to make this request. Select which of those fields are required. Ensure you are selecting fields that are visible to any approvers if you select the approval action.
- (Optional) Require document for upload
- Enter a document name to request employees to upload. Only super admins will be asked to review the document. If the document upload is required, toggle on Mark as required.
- (Optional) Permissions
- Configure who can submit this workflow. Admins have permission by default.
- Select permissions from default roles (Manager of managers, Manager, and/or Employees) or add individual employees.
- (Optional) Eligibility criteria
- Select any eligibility criteria to define which employees this request applies to from the dropdown.
