Admins and Manage Group custom role owners can assign a specific Slack channel to post public Feedback based on the recipient's group membership in Lattice. The praise will be posted to both the groups-specific and your company channels defined in Feedback settings.
Before you start
- If you are a Lattice user without admin or the necessary custom role permissions, contact your Lattice admin.
- The Slack integration must be enabled before assigning Slack channels to groups.
- If the Slack channel assigned is private, you must add the Lattice Slackbot to the channel. Add the Lattice App in Slack by navigating to Channel > Integrations > Lattice.
- You can associate multiple groups to the same channel.
- We do not currently offer this functionality for MS Teams.
Assign a Slack channel to a new group
- Integrate Slack with the Lattice App. Note: The integration will ask for a default Slack channel for Feedback. The default channel is where all public feedback for the company will be posted and is not group-specific.
- Navigate to Admin > Settings > People > Groups.
- Click Create group.
- Add a name and description to the group.
- Under Feedback Slack channel, type the exact Slack channel name where you would like feedback posted for this group.
- Click Create group.
For more information on creating a group, including the differences between an automatic and static group, read Create a Group.
