You may expect the Lattice Slack App to send an AI-drafted Update when an Update is due, but instead receive no Slack notification or the standard Update reminder.
Check your Slack notifications
The Lattice Slack App respects your Slack notification settings. If notifications for the Lattice Slack App are turned off, you will not receive your scheduled Update reminder or an AI-drafted Update notification.
Turn on notifications for the Lattice Slack App, then wait for your next scheduled Update reminder.
Note: Turning on notifications does not immediately create a new Update reminder. Lattice sends the next reminder on your organization’s existing Update schedule.
Check whether you have an Update due
Lattice sends an Update reminder only when:
You have an Update due.
You have not already submitted your Update for that period.
Update reminders are enabled for you.
Your reminder schedule may be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly.
Ask your admin to check Update Drafts
Your organization must enable Update Drafts for Lattice to generate AI-drafted Updates.
When Update Drafts is off:
You will not see "Draft with Agent" or "Refine" in Updates.
Lattice does not generate an AI-drafted Update notification in Slack.
You receive the standard reminder to write or submit your Update instead.
What to do if Update Drafts is off
You can still write and submit an Update in Lattice when 'Update Drafts' is off.
If your organization wants employees to receive AI-drafted Updates in Slack, ask your Lattice admin to turn on Update Drafts must be toggled on in the Lattice Admin Overview (Lattice AI → Features → Lattice AI Agent → Update Drafts).
