Job architecture is the framework for understanding roles and their hierarchy within a company. In Lattice, job architecture is a combination of fields that determine an employee’s job track and level in Grow and comp band in our Compensation tool.
Job architecture is available as three default fields in Lattice:
- Job function
- Job type
- Job level

Note: Your account does not need to have Grow or Compensation to be able to sync your HRIS with job architecture.
Import job architecture with a CSV
- Navigate Admin > Organization > Directory.
- Select Export CSV to download current employee information.
- Within the CSV, add the three job architecture fields in their own separate column headers:
- Job function
- Job type
- Job level
- Enter the job architecture values for each employee within the CSV columns and save the CSV. Any new values can be added to the CSV directly and Lattice will create them when uploaded.
- In Lattice, navigate to Add employees > Upload CSV > Skip this step.
- Select Upload CSV to reupload the saved CSV.
- You can check the progress of the upload by navigating to the import log.
Employee profile
Once job architecture fields have been synced to your HRIS, employee profiles will be updated with their tied job function, job type, and job level.
Note: You can edit job architecture fields individually within an employee profile or by reuploading an updated employee CSV.
