Admins can set employee visibility into their compensation change results. Final compensation changes can be shared with participating managers in Lattice after a cycle has ended. Recommenders will get view-only access to the compensation data of their reports.
Before you start
- Admins will be unable to share results until the compensation cycle ends.
- Once the compensation changes are shared, you cannot revoke visibility access; however, you can continue to make edits to compensation changes which will automatically be reflected in the manager's view.
- If your cycle includes multiple currencies, each employee will see their cycle results in their own local currency.
Share results
- Navigate to Admin > Compensation > Compensation Cycle.
- Select View results to enter the desired cycle.
- Enter the Statements tab.
- Under Set up sharing, choose Who should receive statements?
- Only employees with a compensation change: Employees without a change to their compensation will not receive statements.
- Everyone in the cycle: Statements can be configured specifically for employees with no changes.
-
Manually Select Employees: Manually select who will and will not receive statements.
- Select Edit.
- Search for or add a filter to choose the employees.
- In the dropdown, select either Yes or No to receive a statement.
- Choose How should statements be shared?
- Recommender first: Send statements to recommending managers first. The person assigned as a Recommender in the cycle will be responsible for sharing with individual employees after reviewing. Admins can still share compensation statements with employees even if recommenders are given the ability to share.
- Direct Managers Share with Employees: An employee’s direct manager is responsible for sharing the employee’s statement even if the direct manager did not participate in the cycle as a Recommender.
- All employees: Send statements directly to recommending managers and individual employees receiving compensation changes.
- Select Next: Configure statement.
-
Choose to Configure the default template and/or select Create Template to build one from scratch or use a pre-built template.
- If using a pre-built template, you can select from: Promotion, Merit Increase or No Pay Changes.
-
Within the template, toggle on/off each section of the Compensation Statement and customise the messaging in each section:
- Logo
- Statement Overview
- Employee Pay: This includes optional sections for Promotion, Cash compensation, and Compensation band
- Bonus Payout: This includes optional sections for the Bonus plan and the One-time bonus.
- Equity Grants: This includes optional sections for the Promotion grant and the Refresh grant.
- Once configured, select Save.
- Under each template, select Manage Recipients> Add Recipients.
- Select Next: Review assignments.
-
View the assigned statement sharers, assigned statements and preview statements.
- To reassign a template, either in bulk or for an individual, select the check box next to the employee(s') name> Change assigned template.
- Select Share statements to sharers.
- Enter the Shareout progress tab to keep track of when recipients receive their statements.
Once results are shared, participants will receive an email with a sign-in link that will allow them view-only access to the share-out statement.
Manager visibility into compensation shareouts
As a Recommender
If the manager is a Recommender, they will see a page with all the employees they submitted recommendations for and the final results. Recommenders will not be able to see notes added by approvers.
Note: Compensation Band will be visible for the Recommender view regardless of whether compensation bands are shared with employees.
If the manager was a part of the compensation as a participant, in addition to as a recommender, they will also see a tab to access their own personal results. This may or may not be empty depending on if their personal results have been shared with them or not.
As an Approver
Approvers will have access to the same views and sharing functionality that recommenders will have with an additional tab to view their organization.
Approvers will be able to view notes that were entered, but not from those that are above them in the approval chain. Approvers will not be able to preview letters or share them.
As a manager with no Role
Direct managers will have access to view direct reports' compensation shareout statements only if the option for Direct Managers Share with Employees is selected. If this is not selected, and the manager did not participate as a Recommender, then the manager will not have any visibility into the direct reports' compensation.
