Update an employee's compensation band by changing their Job Function, Job Level, Job Type, or Pay Zone during an active compensation cycle
Admins can make the following updates to an employee’s compensation band assignment during an active compensation cycle:
- Assign an employee to a different compensation band
- Assign a compensation band to an employee who doesn’t have one
- Remove a compensation band assignment from an employee
Changes made to employee compensation band assignments will be reflected in a Draft or Active compensation cycle. Changes will not be reflected in a cycle once it is In Review or Ended. If a cycle is in draft state and you need to make changes, please return to the Rules & Ratings page and click Generate List to pull in the latest updated assignments for all employees.
Note: All compensation band assignments are managed via employees' assigned job architecture fields: Job Function, Job Type, Job Level, and (optionally) Pay Type. This information can be seen and updated in the employees' profiles in the Directory, as well as in the Employee Pay page. Updating a user's Job Architecture values in either location will impact their compensation band assignment as well as any aligned Grow tracks.
