Talent reviews are forward-looking evaluations that help people leaders and HR teams better understand the shape of the talent in their organization. Unlike performance reviews, talent reviews evaluate both past performance and future potential for the organization. Reviews are completed by the employee's manager or leaders and is not shared with the employee.
Super admins and talent review admins can create talent reviews.
Note: Talent review templates must only include rating questions. Learn more in Create a Review Template.
Create a talent review
- Navigate to Admin > Talent reviews > Create talent review.
- Enter a name for the talent review.
- Within the Review template dropdown, choose a review template managers will fill out for their direct reports.
- Note: Templates must only include rating questions. Click Preview to view the questions included in the template.
- Click + Add employees to choose the employees who you want to be reviewed.
- Note: Bulk-add employees by filtering by field or uploading a CSV using the Talent Reviews Employees template.
- (Optional) Managers will automatically be assigned as the reviewer. However, you can choose a different reviewer for each employee individually by selecting a new reviewer from the dropdown or in bulk by selecting the relevant reviewers and clicking Change reviewers.
- Note: Admins can change who is assigned to review the employee only before the cycle is launched.
- Select Continue to Pre-Launch. While in pre-launch, admins can stage the talent review before launching to reviewers. They can change reviewers, create calibration groups, and manage the groups before launch.
- Click Launch talent review > Choose to launch with or without a customizable notification.
