Auto-Updates with Connected Work Tools

Before you get started:

Auto-Updates uses the Lattice AI Agent to help you create Updates using work already recorded in your connected tools. Instead of starting from scratch, Auto-Updates brings together relevant information about your projects, accomplishments, and progress to generate a draft.

You can review, edit, and refine your draft before submitting it to your manager.

Note: Auto-Updates does not automatically submit Updates. You remain in control of what information is included and when your Update is submitted.

Why Use Auto-Updates?

Auto-Updates make it easier to document your work consistently without having to remember every accomplishment or gather information from multiple tools.

Using Auto-Updates can help you:

  • Save time: Generate a starting draft from work you've already recorded rather than writing every response from scratch.

  • Capture accomplishments: Highlight completed projects, contributions, and progress that might otherwise be overlooked.

  • Keep your manager informed: Provide greater visibility into your accomplishments, ongoing projects, and blockers.

  • Support 1:1s and coaching: Use submitted Updates to guide discussions about priorities, challenges, and where you may need additional support.

  • Prepare for performance reviews: Build a continuous record of your contributions that can help inform future performance conversations and reviews.

By consistently submitting Updates, you and your manager can reference a more complete record of your work throughout the performance cycle.

Connect Your Work Tools

Auto-Updates can use relevant information from supported work tools and your existing Lattice activity to help generate your Update.

Supported third-party connectors that admins can enable for their organizations include:

  • Asana

  • GitHub

  • Jira

  • Linear

  • Monday.com

  • Notion

  • Slack

The information available from each connector varies by provider. For example, connected tools may provide information about completed tasks, project progress, contributions, customer interactions, or meeting outcomes.

Auto-Updates can also incorporate relevant information already recorded in Lattice, including Goals, Growth Areas, Feedback received, and 1:1 notes captured with the Lattice AI Agent.
