The Budget page displays dynamic charts to help you track budget and spend for each of the pay types included in your compensation cycle.
The Bonus budget section will populate if the compensation cycle includes bonus plan payouts and/or one-time bonus payouts. This budget is tracked separately from the budget for merit raise increases and promotion raise increases.
Before you start
- The Budget page is based on the overall cycle's budget. The Spend column reflects the sum of actual recommendations that have been submitted by recommenders and approvers.
- The Budget page includes a Budget distribution chart that shows the budget breakdown by the three existing categories: raise guidance, distributed, and remaining budget.
- If the distribution ever goes over budget, Lattice will notify you via a callout, however, being over budget will not stop the cycle from running. To prevent going over, adjust your total or distributed budget using the steps below.
Adjust budget in an active cycle
- Navigate to Admin > Compensation > Compensation Cycle.
- Select View Progress to enter the desired cycle.
- Under Manage, enter the Budget and currency page.
- Expand the Bonus budget section.
Bonus plan budget
Bonus plan payout budget is calculated as the sum of all bonus plan payout guidance.
- Select Upload changes.
- Download the bonus plan payout CSV template.
- Update the Bonus payout guidance column with updated values.
- Upload the updated CSV.
- Select Save.
One-time bonus budget
The one-time bonus budget row tracks budget and spend on one-time bonus payouts.
Update one-time bonus budget:
- Next to one-time bonus budget, select Edit budget to bring up the Edit one-time bonus budget modal.
- Adjust the Budget and/or Payout range limits.
- Select Save changes.
Update eligibility:
- Select Upload changes.
- Download the one-time bonus payout CSV template.
- Update the One-time bonus eligibility (Y/N) column with updated values.
- Upload the updated CSV.
- Select Save.
