Once job architecture has been imported via HRIS, CSV, or SFTP, admins may need to change the values assigned to employees.
Job architecture is available as three default fields in Lattice:
- Job function
- Job type
- Job level (not required for auto-assign)
Any employee whose job architecture values match the Grow track (if available) or Compensation band (if available) will automatically be assigned to that track or band. If the values do not match, they will be removed and added to the track or band they match with.
Update an employee's job architecture field if synced to an HRIS
If job architecture is linked to an HRIS, the HRIS will be considered the source of truth. Therefore, you can only change the job architecture values within your HRIS. This is indicated by grayed-out job architecture fields with the sync icon.
After making the desired changes within the HRIS, the fields will be updated once the HRIS integration syncs.
Update an employee's job architecture field if imported via CSV/SFTP
If job architecture has been imported via a CSV or SFTP, Lattice will be considered the source of truth. Therefore, job architecture can be edited manually via the employee profile or by re-uploading an employee CSV or resyncing with SFTP.
- Navigate to Admin > Directory.
- Search and click on the employee to enter their profile.
- Under Job architecture, modify the desired fields (Job function, Job type, Job level).
- Select Save.
