The Employees page of a compensation cycle setup allows admins to determine who will be included in the cycle as eligible for a merit increase, assign an initial recommender, and confirm which employees are assigned performance ratings.
This article includes the following topics:
Employees
Filter
The filter dropdown will allow admins to more easily narrow the scope of employees to be deemed Eligible, Ineligible, or Hidden.
Recommender
All eligible employees will be able to have their first recommender selected here. This will determine who makes the initial recommendation for each employee.
Status
All active employees in Lattice will be included in the Employees table by default. Within this table, each participant will be marked with one of the following eligibility statuses:
- Eligible: Employees who are eligible to receive a compensation adjustment in this cycle.
-
Ineligible: Employees who are not eligible to receive a compensation adjustment in this cycle. However, they will still be displayed in the cycle for context, and their current pay information will be visible to managers and admins.
Note: Both Eligible and Ineligible employees must have a complete pay record in order to successfully pass the Data Check step and launch the compensation cycle. See how to upload missing pay data for employees. -
Hidden: These employees are entirely removed from the cycle and will not be shown. This is most commonly used in cases where executives or senior leadership have their compensation reviewed outside the main compensation cycle and should, therefore, be excluded from the process entirely.
- Employees with the hourly or salary pay type can be included in a compensation cycle.
- Once an employee has been made hidden, they cannot have their status changed back to eligible.
If needed, admins can override an employee’s status using the dropdowns in the Employees table. Select multiple employees and click one of the bulk action buttons in the grey banner at the top of the table to bulk edit status.
Currency
The Currency column displays the currency in which an employee is compensated (the employee’s local currency). This can be updated in the Employee Pay table.
Rating
A green check mark in the Ratings column indicates whether an eligible employee has a performance rating assigned. These ratings are linked to the performance review cycle selected on the Ratings page.
Pay Type
The Pay Type column indicates the two primary pay types: Salary and Hourly. Each pay type determines how an employee’s compensation is structured and reported within the system.
