Why are some Goal Cycles not showing when I create a Goal?

Problem

  • Why aren't all Goal Cycles appearing when I create a Goal?
  • Why are some Goal Cycles missing from the Goal Cycle drop-down menu when creating a Goal?
  • I can't find a past Goal Cycle when assigning a new Goal to a Goal Cycle?

Resolution

When creating a Goal, the Goal Cycle drop-down only shows Goal Cycles that meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • The Goal Cycle end date falls within 90 days of the current Goal Cycle start date.
  • The Goal Cycle start date falls within 90 days of the current Goal Cycle end date.
  • The current Goal Cycle falls within the Goal Cycle dates. For example, an Annual goal cycle may appear alongside a Quarterly goal cycle.

This helps ensure that the available Goal Cycles are relevant to the current Goal Cycle's timeframe.

For Goal Cycles that fall outside of that criteria, they can be searched for in the Goal Cycle box when creating a Goal.
