When creating a survey, admins can adjust the anonymity threshold that sets the minimum number of responders needed to view the scores for a question or theme.
Adjust anonymity threshold
- When creating the survey, click on Settings on the left.
- Under Anonymity Threshold, click on the drop-down arrow.
- Choose the minimum number of users required in a group from the drop-down before scores/comments are shown. You can choose a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10.
Note: You can edit the threshold at any point - even while the survey is active or after it has ended.
Recommendation
When adjusting this threshold, it is essential to take the demographic makeup of your organization and the privacy of the participants into account. While setting a lower anonymity threshold (e.g., 3 or 4) may help you view data for smaller groups, it may make participants feel vulnerable and keep them from answering the survey honestly. However, if you are trying to view a team with only 3 members, having a lower threshold will allow you to view their team data more easily. Surveys in Lattice default the anonymity threshold to 5.
