Admins can include skip-logic questions in Engagement, Onboarding, and Exit Surveys. By including skip-logic questions in your surveys, participants will be presented with questions based on their responses to a previous question, allowing admins to gain deeper insights.
Before you start
- Rules in Engagement Surveys can only be edited up until the launch of the survey. You can edit rules for Onboarding and Exit surveys after launch.
- It is only possible to add one rule per question and one condition to a rule.
- eNPS cannot be used as a child question.
Key Terms
- Parent Question: The question that decides what questions to show to or hide from participants.
- Child Question: The dependent question. This question will show based on the response given by a participant to the parent question.

Notes on Survey Results
- Question Scores: Question scores are measured as a percentile of their positive responses. If a child question wasn’t shown to a participant because of how they answered the parent question, this will not be counted towards the score
- Participation at the Question Level: If a child question wasn’t shown to a participant due to how they answered the parent question, then this is not counted towards the participation.
