Manage Connectors for Your Organization

C
Written by Customer Care

Lattice Connectors allow employees to connect their work accounts to supported productivity tools. Admins can choose which productivity connectors are available to employees. The following productivity connectors are supported:

  • Asana

  • GitHub

  • Jira

  • Linear

  • Notion

  • Slack (employees cannot connect until the Lattice Slack app is installed in the workspace)

  • Zoom (meeting summaries require AI Companion)

Before you start

  • If Lattice AI is disabled for your organization, Connectors are hidden for admins and employees. To use Connectors, first enable Lattice AI.

  • To manage connectors, you must be a Lattice admin or have the Manage integrations, SSO, and API data company-wide permission. See Configure Custom Role Integrations Permissions.

  • Installing or approving the Lattice app in a connected tool may require admin or owner access in that tool. This person may be different from the person managing connectors in Lattice.

For details about each connector’s data access and permissions, see Productivity Connectors: Data and Permissions.

Enable a connector

  1. Navigate to Admin > Platform > Connections.

  2. Find the connector in Not enabled and select Enable.

  3. Review the setup window and complete any required fields.

  4. If the connector moves to Needs attention, select Finish setup. Enter an organization URL or ID in Lattice if asked. For a Lattice app installation or approval in the other tool, ask someone with the required permissions there to complete that step.

  5. After the requirements are complete, select Try again in Lattice to check setup.

For provider-specific setup requirements, see below Complete Setup for Productivity Connectors below.

Disable a connector

  1. Navigate to Admin > Platform > Connections.

  2. Find the connector and select Disable.

Note: Disabling a connector blocks new connections and pauses syncing of existing employee connections.

Choose how new connectors become available

Automatically enable new apps is on by default. When on, newly supported connectors become available for employees to connect. Employees must still authorize their own accounts.

To require manual enablement of each future connector, turn off Automatically enable new apps and confirm. The setting affects future connectors; it does not change connectors that are already enabled or re-enable connectors you disabled.

Complete Setup for Productivity Connectors

Follow the setup instructions displayed in Lattice for your selected connector. The provider-specific requirements below identify who may need to take action in the connected tool and which data is available.

Setup Guide and Relevant Caveats

Asana

Available on all plans. No URL or separate Lattice app installation is needed. If your Enterprise organization requires app approval, an Asana super admin must approve Lattice after an employee requests access.

GitHub

If your company uses a GitHub organization, enter its URL in Lattice when prompted. A GitHub organization owner must install the Lattice GitHub App using the link in Lattice. Members can request installation. Without the app, Lattice can access only public activity. GitHub Free, Team, and Enterprise Cloud are supported. Enterprise Server and Enterprise Cloud with data residency are not supported.

Jira

Jira Cloud only. A site URL (site.atlassian.net) is optional. If you enter a URL, employees must have access to that site. Otherwise, employees choose a site when they connect. If an Atlassian admin has blocked user apps, employees cannot connect until the restriction is removed.

Linear

No URL or separate Lattice app installation is required. On paid plans with third-party app approvals enabled, a Linear admin or owner must approve an employee's request.

Enter your account URL (account.monday.com). A monday.com account admin must install the Lattice app in the workspaces that Lattice should read. On Basic, activity history is limited to one week.

Notion

No URL or separate Lattice app installation is needed. On Enterprise, Notion workspace owners can restrict the connections that members can add. Contact a Notion workspace owner if Lattice is unavailable.

Slack

Enter your workspace URL (workspace.slack.com; Enterprise Grid may use org.enterprise.slack.com). Employees cannot select Connect or sign in to Slack through Lattice until the Lattice Slack app is installed in the workspace. Someone with permission to install Slack apps must install it. If app approval is required, a Slack workspace owner or app manager must approve the requested permissions. Slack Free includes only the most recent 90 days of message history.

Zoom

No URL or separate admin installation of a Lattice app is needed. If the account requires Marketplace pre-approval, a Zoom admin must approve Lattice. Meeting summaries require a licensed host on Pro or higher with AI Companion Meeting Summary enabled.
