Upload Historical Reviews

Written by Adam

Admins can upload historical external reviews into Lattice. This is not a default feature in Lattice. To have this turned on for your account, contact Customer Care. Once uploaded, historical reviews will be visible to the employee, their manager, managers of managers (if enabled), and super admins. Historical reviews can be uploaded for Active, Invited, or Created user statuses.

Before you begin

  • Uploaded historical reviews will be visible to the reviewee, their manager, and Lattice admins.

  • The Lattice AI Agent does not have the ability to access historical review content.

  • Uploaded historical reviews will not be visible in the review writing context panel. Managers and reviewees will be able to view them on the Reviews tab on the user's public profile page.

Note: We recommend only uploading employee packets, as each uploaded review (manager or employee version) is visible to the employee it belongs to.

Upload a historical review

  1. From the Homepage, navigate to your Company name > Employee Directory > Search for the employee.

  2. Select the employee's name to view their public profile.

  3. Select the Reviews tab > Scroll down to the Historical reviews section.

  4. Select Upload past review > Upload past review > Choose a file to upload.

  5. The file will be visible within the Reviews tab of the employee's profile, beneath Historical reviews.

Bulk upload historical reviews

If you need to bulk upload historical reviews, the Customer Care team can enable historical reviews on your behalf and then upload your historical reviews.

  1. Prepare a zip file of historical reviews using the file format and naming requirements listed below.

  2. Contact Customer Care to arrange a secure file upload.

File format and naming requirements

  • Format:

    • All reviews must be in PDF format (.pdf)

    • All reviews must be collected into one .zip file per review cycle

    • The .zip file name should be the title of the review cycle

      • Acceptable file name format:

        • ✔︎ "NAME_OF_CYCLE"

    • Note: The individual PDFs should not be zipped. Only the parent folder needs to be zipped.

  • Individual file naming:

    • The file name of all PDFs must include the employee's full email address OR External User ID (case sensitive) exactly at the beginning of the file name for the reviews to be associated with the correct employees.

      • Note: Emails are not case sensitive, but external user IDs that include letters are case sensitive. Multiple underscores are supported.

    • Acceptable file name format:

      • [Full employee email address or External User ID].pdf

    • Unacceptable file names:

      • ❌ EmployeeName.pdf (does not include an email address or employee ID)

      • ❌ [email protected] (review cycle name not accepted for individual files)

      • ❌ EmployeeID-2018YearEndReview.pdf (review cycle name name not accepted for individual files)

Note: If you are uploading more than one review per employee, each review cycle should have its own zipped folder.
