How do I know my responses are anonymous?
By default, Lattice only provides aggregate results for anonymous engagement and pulse surveys. This means that scores and comments are abstracted from the survey record and cannot be identified back to an individual response or the person who submitted it.
To ensure participants' anonymity, a minimum of three employees must answer a question for the results to be revealed. Admins have the option to raise the anonymity threshold for each survey, but it can never be less than three respondents.
Within anonymous Engagement surveys (not Pulse), Admins can optionally enable the export of all individual responses. This export includes all individual survey responses, including comments. While names, emails, and other identifying details are hidden, responses may still include fields such as manager or department to support survey analysis. Lattice will let participants know if this export is enabled on the survey welcome page.
However, if an admin selects to create an identifiable survey, the responses will be visible to the admin and are linked to the employee's name and identity.
Note: Onboarding and exit surveys are identifiable.
Survey anonymity reminders
As a participant in an anonymous engagement survey without individual response exports enabled or pulse, your responses, including comments, will be completely anonymous.
Lattice will remind you with the label Your answers are anonymous at the beginning of the survey and at the bottom of the survey:
...and You are anonymous at the top of the Pulse question:
If it's an anonymous engagement survey with individual response exports enabled the message reads, Your privacy is protected. Your name, email, and other identifying details are hidden to protect your privacy. Admins can download raw survey data, and some fields like manager or department may be visible to support survey analysis:
If an admin has selected the Identifiable option, Lattice will remind you with the callout Your name will show up with your responses. This helps us know who shared the feedback, so we can follow up to support you if needed:
