Goals are a great way to track professional objectives and initiatives. By using goal cycles, you will have the ability to send notifications and monitor progress on your organization's goals for a specific time period. This article will walk you through the different phases of goal cycle creation.
Please note, goal cycles can also be created automatically via goal cycle time periods. To learn how to auto-generate goal cycles, check out How to Set Automatic Goal Cycles.
Create a new goal cycle: Setup
Step 1: Navigate to Goal > Goals > Goal cycles.
Step 2: Click Create new cycle.

Step 2: Give your goal cycle a name, start date, and due date.
Note that goals can be added to this cycle with a custom start and due date. Also, goals will not automatically end after the goal cycle due date –– They will only be marked overdue.
Step 3: Click Save & continue.

Notifications
Step 1: Schedule goal notifications for company, department, and individual goals by toggling on/off the notification type.

You can add in any additional information that you feel would be beneficial for your organization to know, e.g., expectations for updating goals, frequency, etc. The email will include a button that states Set goals, which will lead employees to Lattice.
Step 3: Send yourself a preview (optional).
Step 4: Click Save & continue.
