The SFTP Center in Lattice allows you to securely automate the transfer of employee data from Lattice HRIS to external software systems via SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol), enabling seamless integration and reducing manual data handling tasks. It offers customizable mapping and filtering options to ensure your data is formatted correctly for your chosen destination.
If you are looking to integrate Lattice with Sequoia via SFTP, follow the steps to integrate with Sequoia.
Before you start
- You must be a super admin in Lattice.
- You must have your destination application's SFTP credentials, which they should provide.
- You must have identified the field and mapping requirements of your desired destination application, which they should provide.
Initiate the setup
- In Lattice, go to Admin > Platform > SFTP Center.
- Select Create report for SFTP > Start from scratch.
- Give your report a name > click Next: Configure report columns.
- In Configure report columns, you can edit the criteria for which employees will be included in the report and map columns with field values
- Edit criteria: Apply filters to select which users to pull for the report. The available filters at this time are Address Country, Employment Type, and Employment Status.

Map columns to field values: User the mapping feature to align Lattice fields with the required fields in your destination application. For example, map Lattice's Preferred First Name to the application's First Name.
- For Sub-Value mapping, if there are differences in field names (e.g., Department in Lattice might be Sales but the value in the other software may be Revenue), use the value mapping feature to map these appropriately.
- For Setting Constants, if you need to set a constant value for a specific field across all employees (e.g., setting the Pay currency field to USD for all employees), use the constant setting feature to do this.
- Click Next: Configure SFTP.
- In Configure SFTP, enter the SFTP credentials provided by your destination application. We support username/password and SSH authentication.
- On this page, you can toggle the Auto-sync located on the upper right to automatically send the report daily at ~2:00 AM PST.
- Once done, click Finish.
Run, Edit, or Delete your SFTP Integration
When you navigate back to the SFTP Center, click the ellipsis on the right of your report, you will have the following options:
- Edit report to update your settings.
- Sync now to run an immediate sync.
- Delete report to completely remove your settings.
