Admins can update employee fields and choose future effective dates. Admins can make updates at any point and not wait for the “day of” to update an employee field. The ability to effective date is available on the employee profile and the compensation section, depending on the type of field.
Make changes to non-compensation fields
- Navigate to Admin > Organization > Directory.
- Search for and select the employee.
- Scroll to the relevant section > select the pencil icon to make an edit.
- Edit the field to the updated information, Effective Today will appear. Select Today to choose the effective date.
- Select Save changes.
Make changes to compensation fields
- Navigate to Admin > Organization > Directory.
- Search for and select the employee.
- Select the Compensation tab of their profile.
- Choose to either Add compensation and select an option from the dropdown menu OR select to Add a certain compensation field by scrolling through the Compensation page.
- Select the effective date, input the other values within the compensation field, and select Add.
