Sync all your company's Zenefits employee information with Lattice
When you integrate Zenefits with Lattice:
- We automatically sync the employees you select from Zenefits to Lattice.
- We mirror your reporting structure from your Zenefits org chart.
- As Zenefits users are added or removed, we'll add them and remove them from Lattice.
To sync your Lattice account with Zenefits, you must be an admin in both Lattice and Zenefits.
What employee information will come over to Lattice from Zenefits?
If synced, Lattice will pull the following information from Zenefits:
- Job Title
- Start Date
- Telephone Number
First, go to the Admin page. Then click on the Integrations section from the secondary navigation.
From there, click on the Zenefits bar, and you'll be taken to a screen to select which employees you'd like to sync to Lattice.
Here, you can select which employee type you want to pull into your Lattice instance. At this point, you can filter for only the employees you want using all the attributes and filters that are available to you in Zenefits on the lefthand side.
This will create accounts in Lattice for everyone you've selected. (Please note this may take 10-15 minutes.) Once you're ready, invite them by going to Admin -> People -> Created -> Invite all users. This will email the team for the first time and can also be used as a nudge to resend invites if employees are slow to accept.
When you need to add new employees to your Lattice account, excluding any new employees happens during the employee onboarding in Zenefits. As you are onboarding the new person into Zenefits, you will have the option to add them to Lattice during the "Integrated Apps" step. Simply keep the checkbox checked, and they will sync over to Lattice when they start.
If for some reason your information has not yet synced over from Zenefits to Lattice, you can re-sync the two systems on demand by navigating to your admin integrations page under "Admin" and then hitting "Sync." You can also schedule nightly syncs to occur every night between Lattice and Zenefits.
The Zenefits Import Log
If you want to confirm that your Zenefits integration has synced successfully, you can check in the integration log. Here's how you access your integration log:
Step 1: Navigate to your "Admin" page.
Step 2: Under "People" on the left-hand side, click on the "Import Log".
From here, you can view what synced successfully and what needs to be troubleshot. You can view what occurred within Lattice by looking at the "Description" column.
The Zenefits import log has two event types, a "Zenefits Webhook" and a "Zenefits Sync." The "Zenefits Webhook" is a characteristic of real-time data transfers from Zenefits to Lattice. For example, if you change an employee's email in Zenefits, you may see a "Zenefits Webhook" in your import log to reflect that real-time profile change. The "Zenefits sync," on the other hand, is an indicator of a full import of all employee information in Zenefits. This typically goes hand and hand with a manual sync.
Within the Zenefits import log, there are three statuses:
The green checkmark specifies that the Zenefits sync was successful, and all employee information was pulled into Lattice.
The orange exclamation point specifies that the Zenefits sync was successful, but not all data was pulled over.
The red "X" indicates that the Zenefits sync failed, and no users were updated.
If you want to view each status in more detail, click directly into the event that you would like to view.
From here, you will have more of a high-level overview of what was updated or what failed to update within your Zenefits sync.
If you need to disconnect the Zenefits integration with Lattice at any time you can do so from the integrations page Admin>Settings>Integrations within Lattice.
