How to replace and deduplicate competencies that are used in different tracks
When uploading tracks and competencies by CSV, you may encounter tracks with the same competency. Below are steps of how to deduplicate competencies to help organize your competency data.
Step 1: Navigate to the "Admin" page, the key icon in your discovery navigation.
Step 2: Select "Competencies" under "Grow" on the left-hand panel.
Step 3: Search for competencies you would like to de-duplicate.
Below, you can see there are multiple competencies used in different tracks.
Please note: You may click into the competency to view additional details or hover over the number of track usage to view which tracks are currently used for that competency.
Step 4: Navigate back to "Tracks" on the left side panel and click on the track you want to replace competencies for.
Please also note: The track must be in a draft mode to replace its competency.
Step 5: Click on the ellipsis (...) next to the competency.
Step 6: Select "Replace" from the dropdown.
Step 7: Search for the competency in the search bar or click on the name of the competency from the list.
Step 8: Click "Use competency."
Once updated, you will get a notification at the bottom left of the screen that the competency has been replaced.
