Custom role Employee Fields targeted permissions allow admins to give specific employees admin-like access to Employee Fields. Permissions will only apply to the subset of employees that the admin has selected as the role owner. The role member(s) will not have access to the private information of other employees that fall outside of the subset.
Targeted permissions
The Targeted permissions section will allow admins to select which fields role members can see and take action on in the Employee Profile.
- Create a custom role custom role.
- Scroll down to Targeted Permissions
- Next to each field, select from the following options:
- Edit: This will allow role members to view and edit the field.
- View only: This field will display for the role owner but there will be a lock symbol indicating it cannot be edited by the role member.
- No access: These fields will be hidden completely from role members. Both the field name and value will not be displayed.
