Aligning a Grow track to a job type and function allows admins to sync employees to Grow Tracks based on their Job Architecture alignment. Changes to employee job information can be made in one place, which auto-updates their Grow Tracks.

Please note: Job types and job functions that are created or edited within a track will be available to select within all other tracks.

Create a new job type
Step 1: Navigate to the Align track to job type dropdown and select + Create new job type.
Step 2: Under Job type name, give the job type a name (e.g. Support).
Step 3: Under Job type abbreviation, enter an abbreviation for the job type using 1-3 letters. The abbreviation is prefixed to a number to indicate an employee’s job type and job level in tandem within their matrix. (e.g. IC1, IC2, IC3 or M3, M4, M5).
Step 4: Select Create.
Step 5: Confirm the job levels and track levels align by selecting the job type within the dropdown.
Edit a job type
Editing the name and abbreviation of a job type will change all instances of this job type and associated job levels in Lattice.
Step 1: Navigate to the Align track to job type dropdown and select the pencil icon next to the desired job type.
Step 2: Make the desired changes and select Save.
Create a new job function
Step 1: Navigate to the Align track to job function dropdown and select + Create new job function.
Step 2: Under Job function, give the function a name (e.g. Software Engineering).
Step 3: Select Create.
Edit a job function
Editing the name of a job function will change all instances of this job function throughout Lattice.
Step 1: Navigate to the Align track to job type dropdown and select the pencil icon next to the desired job type.
Step 2: Make the desired changes and select Save.
