The question bank is a centralized location for review cycle questions. Once you create a question there are a few parts of that question that you are unable to edit. These components include the question's optionality, response type, and the content or wording of the response type. You are unable to edit these components of a Reviews question because it interferes with the data of the previous responses to that question in past review cycles.
How Can I Edit These Components of a Question?
There is a workaround to edit these components of your question! Here are the steps that you will want to follow to edit a Reviews question that lives in an "in-use" template:
Note: "In-Use" templates have a lock icon next to their name
Step 1: Duplicate the template that contains the question that you are looking to edit
Step 2: When you find the question that you want to edit, click on the page button in the bottom right hand corner of that question
Step 3: Once you have duplicated that question, you can make any edits that you want to make
Step 4: Save the question
Step 5: Click on the trash can in the bottom right hand corner of the question that you did not makes the edits to. This will delete the original question from your template.
Step 6: Click on "Update Template" to save your template
Step 7: Swap out your template in your active review cycle.
This edited and duplicated question will now live in your question bank, along with the original question. If you have no use for the original question, you may want to archive it from the question bank to avoid any confusion in the future.
