Happy Friday! We have two super exciting product updates to share with you this week, so let’s dive right in.
Product Updates for Admins
Declining peer review requests
When setting up a review cycle in Lattice with peer reviewers, you can now choose if you’d like to allow employees to decline those nominations once the review cycle has launched. During the review cycle setup, you will see a checkbox to enable this on the Review Settings page.
During the review cycle, employees will see the option to decline the peer review at the bottom of the template. When they click on this, they will get a pop-up box to confirm.
Once they’ve declined the peer review, the manager of the reviewee will receive a notification so they are aware. The employee who declined can also undo this action and write the peer review if they’d like.
As an admin, you’ll have visibility into who has declined reviews from the side navigation panel in the review cycle auditing table.

Product Updates for Everyone
Goal owner notifications
Now when creating a goal, all of the people who are set as owners of the goal will receive an email notification. In addition, if you add a new owner to a goal that’s already been created that new owner will also receive an email notification.

Creating and Configuring a Dotted Line Manager in Lattice
If you have an employee that has an additional manager, you can set up a custom relationship in Lattice that will give the dotted line manager additional visibility into the employee.
To do so, start by going into the Admin panel. From there, navigate into the 'Custom Fields' section. Click on ‘Create Custom Field’.
Name the custom field (i.e- ‘Dotted Line Manager’ or ‘Manager Visibility’), choose ‘Custom relationship’, then create the custom field.
Once the custom relationship has been created, you will need to add the dotted line manager into the profile of their employee. You can do so by accessing the employee’s profile, scrolling to the bottom of the page, and typing the name of the dotted line manager into the custom field.
Once the employee has their dotted line manager assigned, you will need to configure the custom relationship to give the dotted line manager visibility into the employee’s information. You can do so by navigating to the ‘Permissions’ tab found under ‘People’ in the Admin panel.
Click on ‘Configure’ next to the custom relationship and then choose the visibility that you would like your dotted line managers to have.
