Below is an email that you can use to introduce your team to Lattice performance reviews and why they are important. You can change the information in the email to more align with your team's launch, but make sure to answer three things in your launch email:

  1. What you are doing (Launching Lattice)
  2. Why you are doing it (Provide Managers with tools to better facilitate continuous performance management)
  3. Your expectations for the team (Create your account and set up 1:1s and/or Updates)

Hi Team,

I wanted to let you all know that we'll soon be using Lattice to help facilitate communication between employees and their managers. Lattice offers two different tools to keep communication constantly flowing between managers and their employees. The tools provide a process for employees to get ongoing feedback from their managers in order to drive their development and productivity.

The 1:1 tool is a way for both managers and employees to collaborate and structure their in-person meetings. The Updates tool helps employees to continuously communicate around what they are working on and how they are feeling. Together, these tools empower employees to make sure they are getting the feedback they need on a more consistent basis.

All employees will be meeting with their managers within the next two weeks to talk about how they want to use these tools within Lattice.

Here’s what to expect from 1:1s: (Examples)

  • All employees will be having a bi-weekly 1:1 with their manager
  • All employees will be having a bi-weekly 1:1 with their manager
  • All employees will be having a weekly 1:1 with their manager

Here’s what to expect from Updates: (Examples)

  • Employees will be sitting down with their managers to determine the cadence and questions for their Updates.
  • The Department head will share a monthly update detailing how the team is doing on their goals and what they will be focusing on in the next month.
