It's important to make sure that your org chart is up to date when you kick off a review cycle. This is because Lattice will lock all reporting structures within the review as soon as the review goes live. However, there are instances where you may want to change someone's manager and have the new manager complete the manager review. 

Step 1: The first step is to make an update to the org chart 

To do this, navigate to the "Admin" panel found in the top navigation bar, select "People" found on the left Administration panel, find the person you'd like to change the manager for, and click on the ellipses to the right of their name. From the drop-down menu, click "Edit Profile" 

In this employees profile click into the "Manager" section and simply type in the manager's name. Do not forget to save their profile!

This will ensure that the new manager is responsible for sharing the feedback after the review cycle ends.

Step 2: The second step is to make the change manually within the actual review cycle

To do this, navigate to the "Admin" panel found in the top navigation bar, and then click on "Reviews" found in the left Administration panel. Find the Review Cycle you would like to make this change to, and click on "Manage cycle." After you have done this, click on the "Reviewees" tab to find the employee whose manager has changed. On the right side of the screen, find "Manager." Click on the "x" to delete the manager, and type in the bar below to add the new manager. 

It's important to note that this step can only be completed if you're in the "Reviews" stage of a review, not the "Peer Selection" stage (which comes before "Reviews"). If you're doing a 360 review, you'll want to find the old and new manager under the Reviewees tab and go through the same process except that you'll just be removing the direct report or adding the direct report as a Direct Report Reviewer.

Once you've completed these steps, the employee's new manager will be prompted to fill out their manager review, and they will also be prompted to share feedback upon review close.
